Highlighting the work of women associated with the \u2018Jashcraft\u2019 initiative, the President described their jewellery and eco-friendly products as powerful symbols of women&#8217;s empowerment and cultural preservation.<br>President Murmu specifically acknowledged the self-help group (SHG) from Kotanpani village, functioning under the Shabdumunda Forest Management Committee of the Jashpur Forest Division. She stated that such efforts not only enhance livelihood opportunities but also grant new recognition to traditional handicrafts. She urged the tribal youth to remain rooted in their heritage while progressing on the path of modern development.<br>Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who attended the event at Manjhatoli, said the President\u2019s appreciation is a matter of pride for the entire state. He noted that the jewellery and eco-friendly products prepared by the women of Kotanpani are living symbols of Chhattisgarh\u2019s rich cultural legacy. The CM added that this encouragement would bolster the resolve for an \u2018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u2019 and the spirit of \u2018Vocal for Local\u2019.<br>The \u2018Kartika Jatra\u2019 programme featured an exhibition of tribal handicrafts and traditional folk art. The Chhattisgarh delegation showcased Jashpur\u2019s distinctive craft traditions, which served as a major attraction for the attendees. On behalf of the tribal women of Jashpur, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the President for her support.<br>Addressing the gathering, CM Sai highlighted the transformation in Naxal-affected regions like Bastar. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, basic amenities such as roads, electricity, and healthcare are finally reaching remote villages. He noted that over 400 villages have been freed from Naxal influence, and the state is now focusing on promoting tourism to create local employment.<br>The Chief Minister also paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda, noting that the nation now celebrates his birth anniversary as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
