Raipur, Preparations are underway for the \u2018Raipur Sahitya Utsav 2026\u2019, scheduled to be held from 23 to 25 January at Purkhouti Muktangan in Nava Raipur. The three-day festival, themed \u2018Aadi se Anaadi Tak\u2019, aims to provide a national platform for Chhattisgarh\u2019s literary and cultural heritage, featuring renowned writers, thinkers, and creators from across India.
Collector Dr Gaurav Singh and Public Relations Commissioner Dr Ravi Mittal on Friday inspected the venue to review the progress of arrangements. Dr Singh directed officials to ensure timely completion of the main stage, literary session venues, food zones, and audience amenities. He emphasised that the festival would focus on connecting the younger generation with literature and ideas, noting that over 4,000 youth have already registered for the event.
The festival will feature a grand book fair with 40 stalls, book releases of works by local school children, and a special staging of the play \u2018Chanakya\u2019. Cultural performances including Chhattisgarhi folk dances and a Kavi Sammelan are also set to be major attractions.
