Trump described the risks as extraordinary, noting that aircraft flew low and were exposed to enemy fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were flying\u2026 seven hours in daylight over Iran,\u201d he said, calling it \u201ca very dangerous mission\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said the operation required coordination across air, ground and intelligence units, with forces facing gunfire during both rescue efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine described the mission as \u201can incredibly dangerous undertaking\u201d, adding that forces entered Iranian airspace \u201call under fire\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump said the decision was guided by the military doctrine of leaving no service member behind. \u201cIn the United States military, we leave no American behind.
