Raipur, April 16: <\/strong>Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday inaugurated the state-level Census 2027 campaign by completing his online self-enumeration at his official residence in Raipur. The launch marks the beginning of a 15-day digital window, effective from 16 April to 30 April 2026, during which citizens can voluntarily submit family details through the national portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Accompanied by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Raman Singh, the Chief Minister registered his family details to generate an 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID). He described the decadal exercise as the cornerstone for achieving the vision of “Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047,” ensuring that government welfare schemes reach the last mile with precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Citizens can log in to the portal using mobile numbers to fill out a 33-point questionnaire covering housing conditions and basic amenities. The digital-first approach is intended to streamline the process before the first physical phase\u2014the Houselisting and Housing Census\u2014commences on 1 May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the field visit scheduled for May, approximately 62,500 enumerators will visit households across the state to verify digital entries or collect fresh data on 33 parameters, including access to electricity, drinking water, and communication facilities. The second phase, involving population enumeration and the collection of caste-based data, is slated for February 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sai urged the people of Chhattisgarh to participate actively in the 15-day online window, assuring that all personal information would remain strictly confidential.
