The existing agreement, operational since November 2019, was scheduled to expire on 31 May 2026.<br>The extension will allow various state departments, public sector undertakings, corporations, boards, and local bodies to continue using MSTC\u2019s electronic auction platform. Officials stated that the centralized competitive bidding system eliminates the need for separate departmental tendering and advertisements, saving both administrative time and state resources while optimizing space management across government offices.<br>The cabinet also approved a proposal to bring the newly formed Chhattisgarh Employee Selection Board under the administrative jurisdiction of the General Administration Department (GAD). Necessary statutory amendments will be made to the Chhattisgarh Government Business (Allocation) Rules to formalize this structural shift.<br>This decision follows the implementation of the Chhattisgarh Employee Selection Board Act, 2026, under which the erstwhile Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board was merged into the new body, along with a complete transfer of its assets and liabilities.<br>Addressing infrastructure delays caused by global market volatility, the cabinet cleared a limited, formula-based price compensation mechanism for contracted road construction agencies hit by an exceptional spike in bitumen prices after 1 April 2026.<br>The financial relief will specifically target the post-April price surge and remain effective from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2026.
