Raipur, June 10: <\/strong>Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in leadership, expressing gratitude in an official letter for the Centre\u2019s unprecedented financial and infrastructural support toward the state’s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Sai stated that the Prime Minister\u2019s welfare-oriented policies have accelerated development across Chhattisgarh, ensuring that government benefits reach the grassroots. Highlighting the state’s strategic efforts against Left Wing Extremism (LWE), the Chief Minister noted that Chhattisgarh received \u20b92,080.29 crore under the Special Central Assistance scheme to fortify regional security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the state administration, central initiatives such as the Special Infrastructure Scheme, Security Related Expenditure, modern weapon induction, jungle warfare training, and dedicated air support have significantly strengthened security forces. Furthermore, the Centre approved 391 roads and 88 major bridges spanning 3,222 km in Naxal-affected areas at an outlay of \u20b92,377 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh gained greater financial autonomy after the Union government increased the states\u2019 share in central taxes from 32% to 42%. Over the last 12 years, the state received \u20b93.46 lakh crore in central taxes, \u20b91.43 lakh crore under various centrally sponsored schemes, \u20b922,021 crore for capital investment, and \u20b922,600 crore as Goods and Services Tax (GST) compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the infrastructure sector, \u20b94,468 crore was approved under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund alongside \u20b935,766 crore for national highways, boosting high-priority transit projects such as the Raipur\u2013Visakhapatnam economic corridor. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMRural), 24.5 lakh houses were sanctioned, of which 19.7 lakh have been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, \u20b939,123 crore was spent under MGNREGA to generate 152 crore man-days of employment, while 36.44 lakh families received toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Sai detailed that 25.51 lakh farmers received \u20b910,784 crore through the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, while \u20b95,064 crore was provided under the crop insurance scheme. Food grains are also being supplied monthly to 1.99 crore beneficiaries from 56 lakh ration card-holder families, backed by an annual central subsidy of \u20b95,600 crore. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 39.54 lakh women received free LPG connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister highlighted progressive reforms in mining, noting that 62 mineral blocks were auctioned to potentially generate over \u20b94.34 lakh crore in future revenue. Tribal welfare initiatives benefited 56,569 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) families, while over 4.83 lakh individual and 48,000 community forest rights certificates were distributed under the Forest Rights Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the healthcare and social development sectors, 5,499 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are now operational across the state, 11,490 Anganwadis have been upgraded, and 2,264 new centres have been approved. More than 18,000 youth were trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), while digital connectivity expanded with the installation of 1,247 mobile towers in remote and Naxal-affected belts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Sai also highlighted achievements in tourism, sports, culture, renewable energy, women\u2019s empowerment, digital governance, and rural livelihoods, noting that Chhattisgarh is the first state to fully implement auto-mutation for land records in both urban and rural jurisdictions.
