Hyderabad, (VW) <\/strong>Chhattisgarh Union State has secured investment proposals worth \u20b99,580 crore from seven major companies during the \u2018Chhattisgarh Investor Connect\u2019 programme held in Hyderabad on Friday. The proposed projects are expected to generate more than 7,800 direct employment opportunities across multiple high-growth sectors, including data centres, semiconductors, cement, solar equipment, and textiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union State Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented ‘Invitation to Invest’ letters to prospective investors in the presence of state Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, alongside leading entrepreneurs and business representatives from South India. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai stated that Chhattisgarh is rapidly emerging as a growth engine for a developed India, assuring corporate leaders of a highly supportive and industry-friendly environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince the implementation of our new industrial policy, Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals exceeding \u20b98 lakh crore through outreach initiatives across major domestic hubs like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, as well as international roadshows in Japan and South Korea,\u201d the Chief Minister noted, adding that the state administration is fast-tracking clearances to ground these projects swiftly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting the state\u2019s logistical and geographic edge, Chief Minister Sai explained that being surrounded by seven states gives Chhattisgarh direct entry to a consumer market of over 600 million people. He pointed out that simplified industrial procedures, a functional single-window clearance mechanism, robust rail-and-road connectivity via the Bharatmala project, and abundant mineral resources make it a premier logistics and industrial hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the key corporate commitments received at the conclave, the largest investment proposal came from Hypernext Data Centre Limited. The company announced a capital expenditure of \u20b94,200 crore to establish a dedicated disaster recovery data centre campus in the state, which is expected to create 250 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the core manufacturing sector, Feegrade & Company Private Limited proposed an investment of \u20b92,912 crore to set up a cement facility, offering the highest employment potential with approximately 4,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced technology and computing fields also saw major traction. Niwai Labs Private Limited proposed a \u20b91,000-crore project to develop artificial intelligence (AI), graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure, and semiconductor assembly facilities, which is estimated to create 200 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In clean energy and manufacturing, SG Mart Limited committed \u20b9700 crore for solar energy equipment manufacturing, promising 450 jobs, while Saravana Mills Private Limited proposed a modern textile and garment manufacturing unit with a capital outlay of \u20b9528 crore, generating close to 2,500 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The healthcare and food processing sectors rounded off the investment desk. Kabra Drugs filed a \u20b9200-crore pharmaceutical manufacturing proposal, while Dinshaw’s Dairy Foods Private Limited announced a \u20b940-crore milk processing project. Together, these two units are projected to add 400 jobs to the state’s workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the sidelines of the summit, the high-level state delegation held one-on-one business discussions with senior executives from multinational entities, including Google India, IBM India, Polycab India, Page Industries, and Delta Electronics India, to explore future long-term collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, representatives from Swaminarayan Gurukul met the Chief Minister to submit a proposal for constructing a 650-bed charitable super-speciality hospital at Tatibandh in Raipur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
