Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Sai held detailed discussions on regional development and public welfare, aiming to position Chhattisgarh as a national hub for traditional medicine, research, and higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister urged the Union Home Minister to allocate one of the three new AIIA facilities announced in the Union Budget 2026 to Chhattisgarh. He pointed out that the current institutes in New Delhi and Panaji have successfully integrated modern diagnostics with traditional practices, establishing themselves as national centres of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh\u2019s extensive forest cover is a natural repository for rare medicinal plants and herbs. He argued that setting up a apex institute would scientifically leverage this tribal medicinal heritage, providing the youth with premier research opportunities and transforming the state&#8217;s healthcare landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits of the proposed institute, the Chief Minister added, would serve the entire Central India region, offering super-specialty traditional healthcare to neighbouring states as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the high-level meeting, Sai also briefed the Union Home Minister on the progress of ongoing infrastructure expansion and welfare delivery mechanisms in remote pockets, including the Bastar division.
