Raipur, Sep 24: <\/strong>Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday announced a flagship \u20b9500-crore Mukhyamantri AI Mission aimed at providing artificial intelligence and advanced technology training to six lakh students across Chhattisgarh. Addressing a large gathering of students, academicians, and youth representatives at the state-level National Service Scheme (NSS) Foundation Day and felicitation ceremony held at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, the Chief Minister urged NSS volunteers to take a leading role in the ongoing state-wide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to drive social transformation across rural and urban areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state-level event, organized by the National Service Scheme Cell under the Higher Education Department, served as a platform to recognize youth contributions to nation-building. Chief Minister Sai felicitated outstanding NSS volunteers for their exemplary performance in community service, environmental conservation, health awareness, and blood donation drives, noting that youth energy remains the primary engine driving the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outlining the state’s comprehensive roadmap for youth empowerment and administrative transparency, the Chief Minister detailed several key policy measures aimed at expanding higher education, technical training, and public sector employment. He highlighted the constitution of the Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board, specifically set up to conduct fair, merit-based examinations for Class 3 and Class 4 recruitment without scope for malpractices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister noted that public sector recruitment drives are progressing at a rapid pace across key departments, with over 7,000 personnel recently inducted into the Police Department. Additionally, recruitment processes are underway for lecturers, school teachers, assistant teachers, and 1,235 technical and administrative posts in state power distribution companies. The government has also issued appointment letters to 430 laboratory attendants in the higher education sector and cleared policy measures to provide assured government jobs to 156 distinguished sportspersons from Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To foster local employment and industrial growth, Chief Minister Sai pointed out that the State\u2019s New Industrial Development Policy 2024\u201330 offers targeted financial incentives to industrial units providing direct employment to at least 1,000 local residents. Under this policy framework, Chhattisgarh has secured investment proposals exceeding \u20b98.25 lakh crore over the last eighteen months, with several projects already entering ground execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complementing industrial investments, the state\u2019s Innovation and Startup Promotion Policy 2025\u201330 aims to nurture 5,000 startups by 2030 through the Mukhyamantri Startup and Nipun Mission, enabling local youth to transition from job seekers into enterprise creators. The government has also expanded the Tribal Youth Hostel in New Delhi to 200 seats to support competitive exam aspirants, noting that 13 resident students successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presiding over the function, Higher Education Minister Tank Ram Verma stated that the state is actively aligning its academic curriculum with skill development and job-market requirements under the National Education Policy 2020.
