Strong society builds a powerful nation, says CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, Feb 14: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday asserted that a prosperous and empowered nation can only be built on the foundation of a strong society. CM emphasised that social harmony, awareness, and collective thinking are essential to providing a new direction to the community.
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a Mangal Bhavan and a cultural pavilion at Kharijharia to facilitate community gatherings. During the event, he also felicitated meritorious students of the community who excelled in board examinations, presenting them with citations.
CM Sai highlighted that such mega-conventions provide an opportunity to eliminate social evils and move towards a positive future. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to the education, respect, and holistic development of every section of society. Urging the elders of the community to prioritise quality education, he noted that colleges are now operational in every development block, alongside significant medical, engineering, and law institutes across the state.
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP government, CM Sai stated that most of the ‘guarantees’ promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been fulfilled in the last two years. He cited the approval of over 18 lakh houses under the PM Awas Yojana and the transfer of more than ₹15,000 crore to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana as key milestones.
The Chief Minister also confirmed that under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, paddy is being procured at ₹3,100 per quintal up to 21 quintals per acre. He assured farmers that the price difference amount would be credited to their accounts before the Holi festival. Additionally, he noted that the Tendu leaf collection rate has been hiked from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per standard bag to benefit forest-dwelling families.
Marking the occasion, CM Sai performed the bhoomi pujan and inauguration of six development projects worth ₹11.75 crore in the Kunkuri assembly constituency. This includes the foundation laying of five projects worth ₹9.42 crore and the dedication of one project worth ₹2.33 crore.
