Raipur, Feb 16: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday urged BJP workers to actively disseminate information about government welfare schemes and ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ to the public. Addressing the joint state working committee meeting of all BJP Morchas at the Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, the CM emphasised that public service is the key to achieving the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
Chief Minister Sai congratulated the newly appointed office bearers, noting that the party, as the world’s largest political organisation, has approximately 140 million workers nationwide. In Chhattisgarh, the party’s six million members and 80,000 active workers are focused on engaging youth, women, farmers, and marginalised communities.
The CM highlighted that the state government has fulfilled most ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ promises within two years. Key achievements include the approval of 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal. He announced that over ₹10,000 crore will be transferred to more than 25 lakh farmers before the Holi festival.
Other significant initiatives mentioned include the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which provides ₹1,000 monthly to 70 lakh women, and an annual payment of ₹10,000 to landless farmers. CM Sai also noted the positive reception of the state’s new industrial policy and the promotion of athletes through the Khelo India initiative.
BJP Regional Organisation General Secretary Ajay Jamwal stated that every worker’s contribution is vital to making India self-reliant and a ‘Vishwaguru’. He called on party members to strengthen booths at the grassroots level and ensure that benefits reach every household.
BJP State President Kiran Singh Deo announced that training workshops for workers would commence on 17 February. He stressed the importance of educating the public about the upcoming state budget, particularly regarding provisions for youth and women. The meeting was conducted by State General Secretaries Akhilesh Soni and Yashwant Jain, with presidents of various Morchas and several senior leaders in attendance.
