Raipur, July 15: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday welcomed the Union Cabinet’s approval of Semicon 2.0, the National Investment Policy for Urea-2026 (NIPU-2026), and the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Promotion Scheme (MPMS), stating these reforms will significantly boost Chhattisgarh’s industrial and agricultural growth.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said the three initiatives would strengthen India’s industrial capacity, electronics manufacturing, and agricultural security while advancing self-reliance.

CM Sai noted that the ₹1.27 lakh-crore Semicon 2.0 programme will establish a world-class semiconductor ecosystem. He added that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, robust infrastructure, and skill development initiatives make the state ideal for attracting high-tech investments and generating local employment.

Highlighting the agricultural benefits, the Chief Minister said NIPU-2026 will ensure the timely availability of urea for lakhs of farmers across the state. He emphasised that the Union and state governments are working in tandem to enhance crop productivity and ensure farmers’ prosperity.

Referring to the ₹62,500-crore MPMS, CM Sai said the scheme will position the country as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and exports by driving domestic research and development.

He reiterated that Chhattisgarh is actively developing a conducive ecosystem for investments in IT, electronics, and emerging technologies to create fresh entrepreneurship avenues for youth.
