CM Sai pitches for Investor-Ready Ecosystem in Japan

Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday showcased the state’s potential to a global audience at an Investor Connect event in Osaka, Japan. The Chief Minister highlighted the unique combination of rich natural resources, skilled talent, and proactive industrial policies to Japanese partners.
A key highlight of the event was the investment proposal from Sartaj Foods, an Osaka-based company, for a food processing unit in the state. The proposed investment of approximately ₹100 crore (USD 11.45 million) is expected to significantly boost the state’s food processing sector. This project aims to generate large-scale employment and provide fresh markets and better returns for local farmers.
In a series of business-to-government meetings, Chief Minister Sai also met with Naoyuki Shimada, the President and Representative Director of Morabu Hanshin. The discussions centred on potential collaboration in skill training and workforce exchange programmes. This strategic partnership is expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s skill ecosystem and equip its youth with advanced skills for global employment.
State officials, who accompanied the Chief Minister, presented a compelling case for investing in Chhattisgarh. They highlighted the state’s competitive advantages, including its abundant mineral wealth, a streamlined single-window clearance system for investors, and robust industrial infrastructure. Japanese investors expressed keen interest in opportunities in food processing, technology, and advanced workforce solutions.
Addressing the investors, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reiterated his government’s commitment to fostering an investor-friendly ecosystem. “Our partnership with Japan is built on deep trust and shared values. The collaborations discussed here in Osaka will not only bring crucial investment but will also empower our farmers, create jobs, and strengthen the foundations of a developed Chhattisgarh,” he said. The successful engagements in Osaka highlight Chhattisgarh’s emerging global presence.
