Raipur, July 27: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday welcomed the Central Government’s decision to constitute a high-powered task force to strengthen the examination system of the National Testing Agency (NTA), describing the move as a major step towards safeguarding students’ interests and ensuring transparency.

Expressing gratitude to the Union Government, Chief Minister Sai said the government is committed to protecting the future of the nation’s youth. He added that the Centre has taken the issue of examination integrity seriously and is introducing stringent measures to prevent paper leaks and prevent recurrences.

The task force was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26 July with the objective of making the NTA’s examination process more transparent, secure, and reliable. The multidisciplinary panel is headed by technology expert and Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani.

The panel comprises domain experts from technology, education, security, space, and logistics. Its members include former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman S. Somanath, former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti, former Education Secretary Anita Karwal, and former civil servant Amrit Lal Meena.
