CGPSC reschedules SI Main Exam 2024 to November 2-4 following CM directive
Raipur, Aug 11: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) to reschedule the Subedar/Sub-Inspector Cadre/Platoon Commander Main Examination-2024 to 2-4 November 2026, resolving an administrative overlap with the state teacher recruitment test.
The decision comes after candidates preparing for both examinations expressed concern over the date conflict. The CGPSC had earlier scheduled the police recruitment main examination for 24-26 October 2026, while the teacher recruitment test was set for 25 October.
The commission had declared the results of the preliminary written examination for the Home (Police) Department recruitment on 4 August 2026. Following Chief Minister Sai’s intervention to safeguard candidates’ interests, the CGPSC revised the schedule to ensure aspirants are not forced to choose between two recruitment opportunities.
Emphasising his government’s focus on employment opportunities, Chief Minister Sai said eligible candidates should not lose a career prospect due to administrative scheduling issues.
“Young people devote years of hard work to preparing for competitive examinations. The state government remains sensitive to their aspirations and will take prompt decisions to resolve issues affecting their future,” Chief Minister Sai said.
The CGPSC has advised all preliminary exam qualifiers to submit separate online applications for the upcoming main examination. Detailed notification regarding the online application portal and syllabus guidelines will be released on the official CGPSC portal.
