Raipur, Aug 26: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will confer the Chhattisgarh State Sports Awards on 82 athletes, coaches, and umpires at a ceremony scheduled at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium on 29 August, marking National Sports Day.

The Sports and Youth Welfare Department released the official list of awardees selected for three consecutive financial years—2023–24, 2024–25, and 2025–26. Deputy Chief Minister and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Arun Sao will preside over the state-level function.

The annual honours include the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, and Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman. Additionally, 43 players and coaches across five teams have been selected to receive the Chief Minister’s Trophy.

The awards aim to recognise outstanding athletic performance, coaching excellence, and contributions to sports officiating across the state over the last three years.
