Raipur, Sep 1: A delegation of talented school students and teachers called on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence on Tuesday following their return from Rashtrapati Bhavan, where they met President Droupadi Murmu on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The delegation shared their memorable experiences of performing the traditional Suwa dance and interacting with the President during the national visit.

Welcoming the delegation, Chief Minister Sai commended the students for bringing honour to the state through their talent, confidence, and vibrant presentation of Chhattisgarh’s folk heritage. He noted that such national exposures broaden student aspirations and reinforce confidence, assuring that the state government remains committed to providing platforms to nurture local youth potential.

During the presidential interaction at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Murmu enquired about the students’ academic goals, praised the rich cultural traditions of Chhattisgarh, and accepted a Rakhi tied by Nukesh Kumar Verma, a student with special needs. The visiting student group comprised Rajwati Poyam (Narayanpur), Himanshu Thakur (Sukma), Payal Rajani (Durg), Ragni Sahu, Durgesh Sahu, and Digesh Sen (Mahasamund), alongside Nukesh Kumar Verma (Raipur).

Samagra Shiksha State Nodal Officer Dr Mukti Bais and Government Ashi Bai Golchha Higher Secondary School Lecturer Chandrashekhar Mithlesh accompanied the students during the courtesy call.
