Raipur, On the historic occasion of the 75th Constitution Day, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the state-level programme “Humara Samvidhan, Humara Swabhiman” held at the Town Hall on Wednesday. The event began with the collective reading of the Preamble, as the Chief Minister and citizens recited it in unison, reaffirming their commitment to the values and principles that guide the nation. Sai also visited a special Constitution Day exhibition, watched a short film on the Constitution, and took a selfie with public representatives to mark the occasion.
Speaking at the programme, Sai said that India, the world’s largest democracy, continues to progress with deep faith in its Constitution. He stated that the Constitution guarantees citizens the freedom to speak, express, and participate without fear, forming the foundation of an inclusive and vibrant democracy. He added that the Constitution’s democratic spirit has enabled ordinary citizens to rise to positions such as MLAs and MPs.
The Chief Minister also recalled the significant contribution of members of the Constituent Assembly from across the nation and paid tribute to leaders from Chhattisgarh who played an important role in shaping the Constitution. He said their wisdom, values, and vision for nation-building continue to inspire generations.
The event was attended by MLAs Rajesh Munat, Purandar Mishra, Sunil Soni, Culture Department Secretary Rohit Yadav, and a large number of intellectuals and citizens.
