BJP govt fulfilled all promises in 2 years, says Nadda

Janjgir-Champa, Bharatiya Janata Party National President and Union Minister JP Nadda on Monday asserted that the “double-engine” government in Chhattisgarh has fulfilled all its major electoral promises within two years, replacing a culture of “misgovernance” with development. Addressing the ‘Janadesh Parab’ (people’s mandate festival) marking the completion of two years of the Vishnu Deo Sai-led government, Nadda credited the administration for transforming the state through the implementation of ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’.
Beginning his address after paying obeisance at the Sheorinarayan temple, Nadda said the people had voted out the previous Congress regime to end “rampant corruption, appeasement, and compromise with Naxalism.” He congratulated Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for his commitment to the holistic development of youths, women, and farmers.
Highlighting the government’s agricultural achievements, Nadda noted that the pending bonus of ₹3,716 crore was released to farmers within a month of the government taking charge. For the 2024-25 season, the state successfully procured 14 million metric tonnes of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal, transferring ₹1.25 lakh crore directly to farmers’ accounts. He added that subsidies of ₹11,000 per acre are now being ensured for those cultivating oilseeds, maize, millets, and cotton.
Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the government has disbursed 22 instalments so far, providing monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 to approximately 70 lakh women. Nadda also highlighted that the remuneration for tendupatta collectors has been hiked from ₹4,000 to ₹5,500 per bag. Additionally, 5.72 lakh landless farmers have received ₹10,000 each under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Bhumihin Krishi Majdoor Kalyan Yojana.
Addressing the youth, Nadda stated that the recruitment process for 32,000 government posts has been initiated with full transparency. He confirmed that the PSC examination scam investigation has been handed over to the CBI, and the commission has been reconstituted to prevent future irregularities.
The Union Minister detailed an infrastructure push including 32 Amrit Bharat Stations and 3,000 km of National Highway works, such as the Raipur-Visakhapatnam six-lane corridor. He also announced that medical seats in the state have increased from 100 to 2,500, with new medical colleges planned for Janjgir-Champa and Dantewada.
On internal security, Nadda claimed that Naxalism is “breathing its last” in the state. He announced that nearly 2,500 Naxals have surrendered in the last two years and top leaders including Madvi Hidma and Basavaraju have been neutralised. He further accused the previous Congress government of blocking benefits for 15,000 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses, which the current administration is now fast-tracking.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, in his welcoming address, thanked the public for their trust in “Modi Ki Guarantee.” He stated that a new industrial policy has already secured MoUs worth ₹8,000 crore and reiterated the government’s resolve to eliminate Naxalism from the region by 31 March 2026.
