Sushasan Tihar: CM Vishnu Deo Sai interacts with villagers to review grassroots transformation

Raipur, May 05 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday held direct interactions with rural residents during the ongoing ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), using the platform to resolve public grievances and review the impact of welfare schemes. During a ‘Chaupal’ (community meeting) at Sarodhi village, the Chief Minister met several beneficiaries who shared stories of financial empowerment through state and central initiatives.
Kekti Maravi, a resident of Sarodhi, informed the Chief Minister that financial assistance under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has helped her manage household expenses and achieve self-reliance. Maravi, who also works as a sanitation worker, noted that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana has significantly improved her family’s living conditions.
In a prompt administrative move, the Chief Minister directed officials to immediately resolve a grievance raised by Saralabai Maravi regarding a pending loan under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme. The intervention highlighted the festival’s objective of providing on-the-spot solutions to rural issues.
The outreach continued in the remote Kamarkhol village of Kabirdham district, where the Chief Minister reviewed development projects under the Lokhan Panchayat. Several “Lakhpati Didis”—women from self-help groups (SHGs) who earn over ₹1 lakh annually—including Kachra Telgam and Rajmat Bai Dhurve, shared their success stories in agriculture and small enterprises.
The Chief Minister announced several new infrastructure projects for Kamarkhol, including a community hall, a road project, and a dedicated facility for women’s SHGs. He also performed the symbolic gesture of naming a newborn child and felicitated meritorious students from the village.
In Sarodhi, the Chief Minister handed over the keys to a newly constructed house under the PM-JANMAN scheme to beneficiary Subhan Singh. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring that welfare benefits reach the “last mile” of society.
According to officials, the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ initiative is effectively bridging the gap between the administration and citizens. By ensuring direct communication and the effective implementation of schemes, the state aims to foster a transparent and responsive governance model across Chhattisgarh.
