Raipur, June 14: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday dedicated and laid the foundation stones for 341 development projects valued at over ₹295 crore in Janjgir-Champa district to boost basic infrastructure and public utility services. The developmental package was launched during a state convention held at Podi (Racha) village in Nawagarh block.

The infrastructural push comprises the inauguration of 159 completed public works worth over ₹70.10 crore and the initiation of 182 new projects with an estimated investment of ₹224.90 crore. Addressing the public gathering after performing the bhoomipoojan (groundbreaking) ceremonies, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the multi-sectoral allocations reflect the state administration’s commitment to ensuring balanced, inclusive growth across rural and urban pockets of Chhattisgarh.

The developmental portfolio spans critical sectors including rural road connectivity, drinking water networks, irrigation channels, and healthcare facilities. The state departments executing the newly launched works include the Water Resources Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, and the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.

The convention was attended by Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, state Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Janjgir-Champa Member of Parliament (MP) Kamlesh Jangde, and Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation (CMDC) Chairman Saurabh Singh, alongside senior administrative officials.
