Raipur, The Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has allocated portfolios to all cabinet ministers a few hours after the induction of three new members.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has retained key departments, including General Administration, Mineral Resources, Energy, Public Relations, Water Resources, Aviation, Good Governance and Convergence, Public Grievances and Redressal, and other departments not allocated to any minister.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has been given the Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Urban Administration and Development, and Sports and Youth Welfare departments. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma will continue as Minister for Home, Jail, Panchayat and Rural Development, and Science and Technology departments.
The following portfolios have been allocated to the cabinet ministers:
• Ramvichar Netam: Tribal Development, Agriculture Development and Farmers’ Welfare and Bio-technology, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry.
• Dayal Das Baghel: Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection.
• Kedar Kashyap: Forest and Climate Change, Transport, Cooperative, and Parliamentary Affairs.
• Lakhanlal Dewangan: Commerce and Industries, Public Undertakings, Commercial Tax (Excise), and Labour.
• Shyam Bihari Jaiswal: Public Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Other Backward Classes and Minorities Development, and 20 Point Implementation Programme.
• O P Choudhary: Finance, Commercial Tax (Except Excise), Housing and Environment, Planning, Economics, and Statistics.
• Laxmi Rajwade: Women and Child Development and Social Welfare.
• Tankram Verma: Revenue and Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, and Higher Education.
• Gajendra Yadav: School Education, Rural Industries, and Law and Legislative Affairs.
• Guru Khushwant Saheb: Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, and Scheduled Caste Development.
• Rajesh Agrawal: Culture, Tourism, and Religious Trust and Endowment.
In a post on X, Chief Minister Sai stated, “The departments have been allocated among the ministers. With a clear division of work and responsibility, my cabinet colleagues are ready to serve Chhattisgarh Mahtari with new energy. All the ministers are ready with full commitment to give a concrete shape to the aspirations of the state, to fulfil our promises, and to make the dream of developed India of the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi a reality, and to contribute in making Chhattisgarh developed.
