Raipur, Sep 15: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has directed officials to turn the upcoming month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ into a mass campaign to deliver welfare benefits, employment, healthcare, nutrition, and environmental protection directly to citizens across the state. The drive will be held from 17 September to 17 October.

Reviewing preparations for the campaign in a high-level meeting on Thursday, the Chief Minister instructed District Collectors to coordinate across departments and inform the public well in advance. CM Sai stressed that public convenience and quick grievance redressal must remain at the core of all activities.

A central feature of the drive will be ‘Seva Setu’ camps, designed to connect eligible beneficiaries with state schemes and resolve public complaints on the spot. Spot counters will collect applications for digital tracking, and pending matters will undergo weekly reviews. Collectors have been asked to identify potential beneficiaries before the camps begin to avoid delays.

To boost job prospects for young people, the Skill Development Department will organise employment fairs as part of the drive, where selected candidates will receive appointment letters directly at the camp venues.

Meanwhile, Anganwadi centres will hold community events under the ‘Aangan Milan’ initiative, including healthy baby contests, ‘Meri Paushtik Thali’ displays, and toy donation drives. Women who achieved notable success through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be felicitated. Schools across the state will also host painting, speech, and street play competitions, alongside platforms dedicated to showcasing the talents of children with special abilities.

The campaign will encompass over 25 public participation activities under ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, including blood donation drives, plastic-free initiatives, and riverbank cleanliness projects linked with ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’. Local committees will be set up to sustain cleanliness after the month-long drive concludes.

Additionally, the state will align its mass tree planting drive with the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. The plantation campaign will conclude on 17 October, coinciding with the state’s target to plant 2.5 crore saplings this year.

Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Additional Chief Secretaries Manoj Pingua and Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister P Dayanand, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
