According to the Economic Survey tabled in the Assembly on Monday by Finance Minister OP Choudhary, the total value is expected to reach ₹6,31,291 crore, up from ₹5,65,845 crore in the previous year.
The report highlights a robust trajectory for the state’s financial health as it enters the new budget cycle. This real-term growth brings the domestic product to ₹3,58,293 crore. Such a performance indicates that the state is managing to maintain genuine productivity gains alongside its nominal growth targets.
The agriculture and allied sectors, which include animal husbandry, fisheries, and forestry, remain a cornerstone of this progress. At current prices, this sector is projected to grow by 12.53 per cent, reaching a value of ₹1,19,871 crore. The industrial sector, encompassing manufacturing, mining, construction, and utilities, is also slated for a double-digit increase. It is estimated to grow by 10.26 per cent at current prices, bringing its total output to ₹2,70,449 crore. At constant prices, the industrial sector’s output is expected to hit ₹1,60,473 crore, marking a 7.21 per cent increase in real production.
The services sector is emerging as the fastest-growing segment of the state’s economy, with a projected current price growth of 13.15 per cent. This sector is expected to reach a value of ₹1,90,221 crore by the end of the 2025-26 period. Even when viewed at constant prices, the services sector shows a leading expansion rate of 9.11 per cent, reflecting a modernising and diversifying economic landscape.
Looking back at the quick estimates for the 2024-25 period, Chhattisgarh maintained a consistent performance with a 10.50 per cent growth at current prices. During that year, agriculture led with an 11.76 per cent growth, while the services and industrial sectors followed with roughly 10 per cent each.
The comprehensive survey concludes that Chhattisgarh is well-positioned for continued stability. With tax revenues expected to show healthy growth and strong expansion across all major sectors, the state appears to be maintaining a broad-based and reliable growth engine that balances traditional industries with emerging service-oriented markets.
