Raipur, March 5: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday attended the ceremony marking the assumption of charge by the newly appointed Vice-Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Rajya NITI Aayog, Ganesh Shankar Mishra, at NITI Bhavan in Nava Raipur. The Chief Minister extended his congratulations and best wishes to Mishra on his new responsibility.

The Rajya NITI Aayog is a vital institution designed to guide Chhattisgarh’s progress through long-term vision, evidence-based policymaking, and enhanced inter-departmental coordination, the Chief Minister said. He noted that the body would play a significant role in formulating strategies to address future needs and emerging developmental challenges.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is steadily moving towards the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, the Chief Minister said. In alignment with this national objective, the ‘Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047’ has been prepared to outline a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s long-term growth.

The Prime Minister’s decision to replace the Planning Commission with NITI Aayog reflected a forward-looking approach to governance, Sai added. He highlighted that programmes like the Aspirational Districts initiative have yielded visible positive outcomes in Chhattisgarh’s developing regions.

The Rajya NITI Aayog follows a model of planning based on the actual ground-level needs of specific regions. The state government continues to accelerate development through transparency, good governance, and public participation, the Chief Minister said.

Expressing confidence in Mishra’s administrative experience, the Chief Minister said the Rajya NITI Aayog would gain fresh momentum under his leadership. He assured that the state government would effectively implement constructive suggestions provided by the Aayog.

Vice-Chairman Ganesh Shankar Mishra said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state is progressing rapidly. He committed to making collective efforts to frame forward-looking policies aimed at making Chhattisgarh more prosperous.
