Chhattisgarh govt to go digital; MLAs to submit development proposals online
Raipur, April 10: The Chhattisgarh government is set to modernise its administrative framework by introducing a digital system for all 90 MLAs and Ministers-in-charge to submit development proposals online. Under this initiative, legislators will be provided with dedicated login IDs and passwords to transition from traditional paper-based submissions to a streamlined electronic process.
A specialised software platform has been developed to allow MLAs to directly send proposals for infrastructure and public welfare projects, such as roads, drainage systems, and schools, to the concerned departments. Currently, legislators rely on manual communication, which often leads to delays in departmental processing and approvals.
The new digital system will ensure that proposals instantly reach departmental secretaries and district collectors. This shift is expected to significantly reduce turnaround time and administrative bottlenecks.
The platform features a real-time tracking mechanism, enabling MLAs to monitor the status of their submissions and identify specific points of delay. Officials stated that this move will enhance transparency and accountability while eliminating the risk of files being misplaced within the bureaucratic chain.
Ministers-in-charge will also be provided with dedicated dashboards to oversee development activities in their respective districts. The system includes a feedback mechanism to track public grievances and their resolution status, ensuring faster service delivery at the ground level.
Software finalisation is complete, and the state government will soon commence training sessions for MLAs and their staff. The training will cover login procedures, document uploads, and the monitoring of budget allocations to ensure a smooth transition to the digital platform.
