Raipur, April 23: A 24-hour Chief Minister’s helpline will soon be launched in Chhattisgarh to enable residents to lodge complaints and report issues directly to the administration. The initiative is designed to strengthen accountability by ensuring all public grievances are addressed within a strictly defined timeframe.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai shared details of the project while interacting with the media before departing for Jashpur on Tuesday. He stated that clear deadlines will be established for resolving complaints received through the portal. Officials failing to act within the stipulated period will face disciplinary action.

Referring to broader political issues, the Chief Minister alleged that a “grave injustice” had been done to the women of the country regarding representation. He noted that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed 33 per cent reservation for women, the Congress and its allies opposed the initiative, necessitating a special discussion in the state Assembly.

On the political situation in West Bengal, Sai claimed there is growing public resentment against the ruling All India Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Citing his recent visit to the state, he expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would form the next government there as people are seeking a change in leadership.
