Raipur, (VW) Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has appealed to public representatives across Chhattisgarh to actively participate in the Shala Pravesh Utsav, scheduled from 16 June to 27 June, to transform the school enrolment campaign into a mass movement. In a letter addressed to elected representatives throughout the state, the Chief Minister emphasised that ensuring access to education for every child is a collective responsibility.

Extending his best wishes for the new academic session to students, parents, and teachers, Sai said the state-wide drive aims to secure 100 per cent enrolment of eligible children and encourage regular attendance.

The Chief Minister urged ministers, MPs, MLAs, urban local body mayors, and presidents of district and janpad panchayats to visit local schools during the drive. He called upon them to identify dropouts or unenrolled children and motivate their families to reconnect them with the education system.

Highlighting infrastructure upgrades, Sai said the state government is building a better learning environment through PM SHRI schools, while 150 Vivekananda Schools are being established from 2026 to set new benchmarks in quality education.

Referring to the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Chief Minister stated that government schools are being transformed into modern, technology-enabled institutions. He added that welfare initiatives like mid-day meals, free textbooks, uniforms, and the Saraswati Bicycle Scheme for girls are actively ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder a child’s education.
