New Delhi, June 25:  Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday met Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilisers JP Nadda at his residence here to discuss healthcare infrastructure and the smooth supply of fertilisers for the ongoing Kharif season.

The Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister of the state’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen medical infrastructure, focusing on extending quality healthcare services to remote, rural, and tribal regions. The state government is actively upgrading-linking hospitals and medical colleges so that citizens can access modern treatment within Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Sai said.

Shifting the focus to the agricultural sector, the Chief Minister stated that clear directives have been issued to state authorities to ensure the timely and adequate availability of seeds and fertilisers for farmers. The state administration is maintaining a strict vigil on the distribution network to prevent black-marketing, hoarding, or artificial scarcity during the Kharif season.

Chief Minister Sai further informed the Union Minister that the state is actively promoting the use of Nano Urea and Nano DAP through grassroots awareness campaigns. These modern inputs aim to cut down input costs, increase crop yield, and make farming more remunerative.

Union Minister JP Nadda appreciated the Chhattisgarh government’s proactive measures in healthcare expansion and farmer welfare. He assured the Chief Minister of all possible assistance and continuous support from the Union Government for the state’s development projects.
