CM Vishnu Deo Sai starts Japan tour, meets tech leaders

Raipur, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai began his official tour of Japan on Thursday, aiming to attract international investment and strengthen diplomatic ties. The visit, part of the state’s “Global Outreach Mission,” saw the chief minister hold high-level meetings and visit a revered temple on the first day.
Upon arrival in Tokyo, CM Sai’s first stop was the historic Asakusa Temple, where he offered prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the three crore people of Chhattisgarh. He noted that the temple’s message of peace and strength resonated with the state’s aspirations.
Later, the delegation met with Kayo Ito, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NTT Ltd., a global leader in IT infrastructure. The discussions focused on potential technology-driven investments in Chhattisgarh and strengthening the state’s digital ecosystem. The meeting highlighted the importance of leveraging advanced IT solutions, from cloud computing to cybersecurity, to fuel digital transformation.
The day concluded with a formal dinner hosted by India’s Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George. The discussions centred on the role of industries in fostering economic stability and trade security in the Indo-Pacific region. Chief Minister Sai showcased Chhattisgarh’s potential for industrial collaboration, highlighting how Japan’s technology could be paired with India’s skilled workforce. He also promoted Chhattisgarh as a key tourist destination for Japanese visitors.
