Union Minister, Chhattisgarh CM launch ‘Swastha Nari– Sashakta Parivar Campaign’

Raipur, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday launched the state-level “Swastha Nari– Sashakta Parivar Campaign” and Seva Pakhwada at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University campus in Raipur. The event was organised as part of a nationwide initiative aimed at prioritising women’s health and building a strong public awareness campaign for the prevention and treatment of serious diseases.
The event was linked live to the national launch, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the programme from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. Following the state-level launch, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, accompanied by State Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, visited an exhibition showcasing government schemes and innovations related to the health and nutrition of women and children. She later inspected an Anganwadi Centre at Nimora, where she interacted with beneficiaries.
Speaking to reporters, the Union Minister said, “Through the Swastha Nari– Sashakta Parivar Campaign, our priority is to raise awareness among women about serious diseases and provide them with access to health services. It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve that every woman and every child should be healthy and that future generations should have access to better health.” She also informed that the 8th Nutrition Month has been launched in this context.
Under the Seva Pakhwada, a series of health-focused activities will be organised across the state from September 17 to October 2. These activities will include health check-up camps for women, nutrition promotion programmes, counselling sessions, and community awareness drives. The Government of India believes that “a strong family and a strong society are possible only through healthy women” and this campaign seeks to turn that vision into reality, officials informed.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Technical Education Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal, and other senior public representatives also attended the event.
