CM Sai reviews arrangements for PM Modi’s upcoming visit to Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review of preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Chhattisgarh, inspecting various event venues in Nava Raipur. Describing the Prime Minister’s visit as a ‘proud and historic moment’ for the state, he stressed that all arrangements must be flawless, dignified, and reflective of Chhattisgarh’s culture and progress.
The Chief Minister began his inspection at the Shri Sathya Sai Hospital in Nava Raipur, where he reviewed the programme outline, auditorium setup, stage, and seating arrangements for invited guests. Following this, he visited the Prajapita Brahmakumari Meditation Centre, reviewing the proposed programme schedule point by point. He inspected the auditorium, meditation hall, and outer premises, directing officials to ensure all preparations meet the highest standards and are completed on time.
Chief Minister Sai later inspected the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial-cum-Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum, calling it an enduring symbol of the valour and identity of Chhattisgarh’s tribal community. He instructed officials to design each section of the museum to immerse visitors in the glorious saga of the tribal freedom struggle. The Chief Minister also reviewed arrangements for the exhibition galleries, multimedia section, memorial room, and the museum’s outer premises.
At the Rajyotsav venue in Nava Raipur, Chief Minister Sai inspected the main stage, parking facilities, departmental domes, exhibition gallery, VIP area, and public pathways. He stated that the annual Rajyotsav—the state’s foundation day festival—celebrates Chhattisgarh’s achievements, culture, and confidence and must set a new benchmark for excellence in organisation and presentation. He directed officials to complete all works within the stipulated timeframe, with particular attention to security, cleanliness, and the convenience of the general public.
Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Principal Secretary Sonmani Bora, Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Secretary Rahul Bhagat, and senior officials from various departments were present during the inspection.
